Clare Brennan - Director/co-Artistic Director

Clare’s (she/her) directing credits include Anthony Neilson’s Stitching (BlackLight Theatre; Dublin, Ireland), Home of Love (Wall to Wall Theatre Festival; Ann Arbor, MI), and Othello (The University of Michigan). With Red Theater, she served as Assistant Director on Non-Player Character and Producer for You Are Happy and Isle of Sugar. Elsewhere in Chicago, she has worked with Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Shattered Globe, TImeLine Theatre, Links Hall, The Den, Prop Thtr, The Frontier, RhinoFest, Theatre Evolve, and NON:op. Clare holds a B.A. in Drama and English from the University of Michigan.

Wyatt Kent - Producer/co-Artistic Director

Wyatt (he/him) was a member of the inaugural Red ensemble in Lincoln, Nebraska. Directing credits include immersive and devised work (The Wild Party, Out of Many, De/Ascending), Shakespeare adaptations (Romeo and Juliet et al., Macbeth, Julius Caesar) and new play development. With Red Theater he served as Dramaturg for Non-Player Character and producer for the workshop of Isle of Sugar. Beyond his work as a director he works as a teaching artist and Artistic Director for Compass Creative Dramatics.

Mary Townsend Cahoon - Stage Manager

Mary (she/her) is thrilled to open her first show in Chicago! As a transplant from Arizona, she previously worked as a designer, technician, and actor at theaters including: Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival, Southwest Shakespeare Company, Stray Cat Theatre, The Phoenix Theatre Company, BLK BOX PHX, Space 55, and Mesa Encore Theatre. Favorite projects include The BURN, Titus Andronicus, The Nether, Eleemosynary, and Tis Pity She's a Whore. She would like to thank Clare and Wyatt for giving her this amazing opportunity and making her first Chicago show a truly memorable one. Jamie Macpherson - Fight & Intimacy Design

Jamie (she/her) is a Chicago intimacy/fight director. She has been an invited artist at Macalester College, Augsburg College, the Lawrence Art Center, and the University of Chicago. Recent credits include: The Three Musketeers (First Act), Macbeth (ASU) and Lot 47 (Mudlark Theater). Her work has been published in Youth Theater Journal, Howlround, and The Fight Master. Jamie holds an MFA in Theatre for Youth from Arizona State University, and is a member of the Society of American Fight Directors. Jennifer Susan - Costume Design

Jennifer (she/her) is thrilled to be a part of this amazing show! As a costume designer and stitcher she has worked on The Importance of Being Earnest at The Breckenridge Theater, as well as short films Phosphorus and Waiting Room. As a stitcher, she has worked on Macbeth, Red Velvet, The Wizard of Oz, Mary Stuart, and SIX at Chicago Shakespeare Theater.

Haleigh Kent - Costume Design

Haleigh (she/they) is thrilled to be in their first production with Red Theater. Haleigh is a Chicago based theater artist and educator. This is their first show as a Costume Designer and they are looking forward to the opportunity to continue down this path.

 

Derryll - Lighting Design

Derryll (he/him) is a Chicago-based lighting designer/electrician. Vinegar Tom is his first solo design credit after getting his degree in Communication, Media, & Theatre. Derryll’s pre-degree productions include Northeastern Illinois University’s Babel (Lighting Designer) and The Academy of Music and Art’s Frozen Jr. (Lighting Designer). His other credits include Big Noise Theatre’s Into the Woods (Associate Lighting Designer), Kokandy Productions’ Cruel Intentions (Electrician), and Mercury Theater Chicago’s Priscilla Queen of the Desert (Electrician).

Becca Holloway - Casting Director

Becca (she/her) is stoked to be a part of this rockin’ production! Previous Red Theater credits include producing Non-Player Character, and was slated to direct 45 Plays for 45 Presidents. Other directing credits include Golden Girls: The Lost Episodes, Vol. 2 (Hell in a Handbag) and Bechdel Fest (Broken Nose Theatre). Becca has been lucky enough to work on the directing teams of several companies including: Oil Lamp Theater, Theatre Evolve, The Comrades, Refuge Theatre, and many others. She is also a company member at Factory Theater where she is a casting associate. Much love as always to CWW and ML.

Sebby Woldt - Sound Design

Sebby (they/them) is very excited to be working with Red theater. Sebby has designed sound for almost one hundred productions in the chicagoland area since graduating from the Theatre school at DePaul. and has been nominated for several Broadway world awards. Recent Credits Include: Richard III With Promethean, Last night in Karaoke town at the factory theatre, The Caucasian inner circle with The Conspirators and many others. Sebby is also the resident acoustic natural philosopher of the Bristol Renaissance Faire. You can find their original music and covers under the artist name The Eternal Dreamers.

Andy Cahoon - Technical Director

Andy (he/him) is a professional actor and carpenter in Chicago, Illinois. He recently moved from Phoenix, Arizona, having worked for nearly every Theater in the valley. While he began his career as an actor, his love for carpentry introduced him to the world of properties and set design.
