Marisa Macella is the Executive Director of Steep Theatre, a producer, performer, and arts administrator. Before becoming Red’s Board President, she served as its Executive Director and lead producer on many productions between 2017 and 2020. She previously served as the Senior Manager, Fundraising Events for Lyric Opera of Chicago. She has worked on and/or off the stage with many Chicago Theater companies including Theatre Evolve, Oil Lamp Theater, Chicago Folks Operetta, Right Brain Project and more.
Cruel Valentine is an award-winning, international burlesque entertainer, adult performer, dominatrix, and artist. They serve as a board member and consultant for alternative, creative, and adult companies in Chicago and beyond. Valentine holds a BA in Musical Theatre and an MA in Arts Management from Columbia College Chicago, a certificate in Diversity & Inclusion from Cornell University, and they’re currently studying at DePaul University College of Law. Ansley Valentine holds an M.F.A. in Directing from Indiana University. He is currently a proud member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC) and Actors’ Equity Association (AEA). Some of his favorite productions include Les Misérables, The Colored Museum, Twelfth Night, and many new plays. Ansley is also a graduate of the Arts Midwest Minorities in Arts Administration Fellowship, a program funded by the Ford Foundation to increase minority representation in leadership roles at American not-for-profit organizations. Lizzie Lovelady is a director, playwright and arts administrator. Chicago companies she has worked with as a director include Strawdog Theatre, Babes with Blades, Wildclaw and Red Theater Chicago. Her adaptation of the noir film DOA, which she also directed, won the 2016 Non-Equity Jeff Award for Best Adaptation. As an arts administrator, Elizabeth has worked with Theater Wit and The House Theatre of Chicago.
