Sarah Wisterman - Alice

Sarah Wisterman was most recently seen in THREE SISTERS (The Neighborhood) and A SHAYNA MAIDEL (TimeLine Theatre). Sarah also performed in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM and AS YOU LIKE IT (First Folio). Film and TV credits include CHICAGO MED, WORK IN PROGRESS, CANDYMAN, and THE BEAR. Sarah earned their B.F.A. in Performance from Stephen F. Austin State University and is represented by Paonessa Talent.

Madeline Bernhard - Joan

Madeline Bernhard is excited to make her Red Theater debut! She is a proud graduate of The ACADEMY at Black Box Acting. Love to her family and friends for their support, and a shoutout to some inspiration from The Lunachicks, Tilt, & Bad Cop Bad Cop. Madeline is represented by Shirley Hamilton Talent.

Caroline Kidwell - Ellen

Caroline is ecstatic to be making her Red Theater debut in Vinegar Tom. In the past, she has had the pleasure of working with Strawdog, Erasing the Distance, and Compass Theatre, among others. She can next be seen in Theatre Evolve's Krugozor, running in January-February at The Factory Theatre. Caroline could not be more proud to be a part of this incredible ensemble led by such a dynamic creative team. She'd like to thank her cats, Chicken and Friend, for their wisdom and support.

 

Josh Razavi - Jack

Josh (he/him) is excited and humbled to be returning to the stage after 2 ½ years to make his Red Theater debut in Vinegar Tom! An Artistic Associate with the Factory Theater, he graduated from Illinois State University with a B.A. in Theatre and upon arrival in Chicago, trained and performed with The Second City and iO Chicago, respectively. He continues to do comedy, musicals, and anything Dick Wolf needs. A big thanks to Clare, Mary, Jamie, Becca, and this cast for having such a great, supportive process creating this show! LaRose Washington - Susan

LaRose (she/her) is so excited to be returning to live, indoor theatre! And there’s no one else she’d rather do it with than Red Theater. Some of her recent credits include: Where the Air Meets The Water (Avalanche Theatre), Quitter (Broken Nose Theatre), and Bunny's Book Club (Lifeline Theatre). LaRose received her B.A. in Theatre from the University of Southern California and is repped by BMG Talent. She would like to thank her family and friends for their constant support, especially throughout this crazy time. With that being said, she hopes that you enjoy the show!

Mindy Shore - Margery

Mindy (she/her) is so excited to be joining the Vinegar Tom cast. Red Theater debut! Previous credits include Macbeth (Shakespeare on Deck), Reap The Grove (Artemisia Theater), Tutus (Haven Theater), Bechdel Fest (Broken Nose), and Hitting Guac Bottom (Second City Training Center). She’s trained at Second City, Improv Olympic, ComedySportz Chicago, and holds a BFA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She is represented by Dream Team Talent. Hannah Antman - Betty

Hannah (she/they) is thrilled to get witchy with the good folks at Red! Previous Chicago credits include work at Strawdog Theatre Company, The Arc Theatre, and Theatre L'Acadie. BFA: Boston University School of Theatre.

Theresa Liebhart - Goody

Theresa (she/her) is absolutely amped to be working with Red Theater for the first time! She was most recently seen in Last Night At Karaoke Town (The Factory Theater) where she understudied two roles and had the privilege of performing multiple times. Other Chicago Theatre credits include work with Shattered Globe Theatre in their Protégé Program, Midsommer Flight, Shakespeare All-Stars, and regional credits include Richmond Shakespeare Festival. Sean William Kelly - Man/Doctor/Packer

Sean (he/him) has worked with RedTwist Theatre, Oak Park Festival Theatre, The New Coordinates, Pride Films and Plays, Artemisia, Spartan Theatre, The Shakespeare Project of Chicago, Chicago Kids Company, and The New American Folk Theatre. He is also an ensemble member of AstonRep with whom he has performed in Equus and When We Were Young and Unafraid. Regionally, he has worked with The Studio Theatre Tierra Del Sol, Lakeside Shakespeare, and the Hedgehog Ensemble on Pandemic, which he also helped devise. In New York he appeared in The Last Session. Represented by DreamTeam Talent.

 

Max Cohen - Bass/Songwriter

Max Cohen (she/her) is a queer musician, writer, and general gadabout. She's been writing weird lo-fi music since MySpace was a going concern and has been a regular in the Chicago DIY scene since 2016. She's previously played in the bands Pop Martyrs, Sad13, and The Garages, and you can currently catch her with her local post-punk band Noiseland. She's never worked in theater before and to be honest this whole thing has been a trip.

Roy Gonzalez - Guitar/Songwriter

Roy (he/him) is an actor, musician, and teaching artist in Chicago. He'd like to thank Red Theater for giving him the opportunity to write all these neat songs, and the cast for being so much fun to work with. He dedicates this show to The Guttersluts, the absolute weirdest and dirtiest all-female punk band he saw when he was a teenager growing up in South Texas. Roy is represented by Grossman & Jack Talent.

Tom Ronningen - Drums

Tom (he/him) a musician and writer living in Chicago. He holds a BA in creative writing from Columbia College Chicago. He records and releases his own solo material as Griefer, and has played with improv comedy trio Cowboy Downpour. His fiction and criticism have appeared in Tonitruale, LOCUS: IV, Allium, Mental Papercuts, and others. He is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist with a passion for all things percussion. This is his first theater production, and he's happy to join Red in raising Hell.

 

Maya Pierce - Alice/Susan/Betty (u/s)

Maya (she/her) is a Chicago-based actor, and is so excited to be working on Vinegar Tom with this amazing team. Recent credits include Legally Blonde (Metropolis PAC), Hair (Exit Left Theatre), A Grand Night for Singing (Dunes Summer Theatre), and Safe Hands (NYU Tisch). Maya is a graduate of Northwestern University, where she studied Theatre and Computer Science, and a proud member of the 2022 Shattered Globe Protege Ensemble. When she is not performing, Maya teaches at Chicago Children's Theatre and enjoys swimming in Lake Michigan. Erik Schiller - Jack/Man/Doctor/Packer (u/s)

Erik (he/him) received his training at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and has been working in Chicago since 2017, when he played a zombie who took an axe to the face in Akvavit Theatre's production of Ghosts (and Zombies). Since then, he has acted in productions as part of the Chicago Fringe Festival and Yippie Fest. Past credits include Dromio of Syracuse in The Comedy of Errors (Nashville Shakespeare Festival), Ladvenu in Joan of Ark (Abaisses Theatre), and Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing (in productions by Shakespeare Unauthorized and Scenic City Shakespeare).

Kelsey McGrath - Joan/Ellen (u/s)

Kelsey (they/she) is a writer and performer residing and working in Chicago. They most recently studied with the School at Steppenwolf and with Stella Adler Studio in New York. They’re a graduate of the Black Box ACADEMY and have been on stage with Lifeline, Broken Nose Theatre, Eclipse Theater Company, and now, Red Theatre! Katharine Jordan - Margery/Goody (u/s)

Katharine (she/her) is so grateful to be a part of this amazing cast and creative team. She is a big Salem Witch Trails nerd and punk rock music lover, so she cannot imagine a better show to be her first live performance since the start of the pandemic. Recent credits include Monica in Space Scum: The Musical at The Annoyance Theatre and understudying Jane in Münsterspiel with The Plagiarists.
