LaRose Washington

LaRose (she/her) is a Chicago-based actress, producer, and writer who wants to change the world through powerful storytelling. Being a military kid, she is inspired by a diverse group of people and cultures. She graduated from the University of Southern California's School of Dramatic Arts and stayed in Los Angeles for 2 years performing and writing for her sketch comedy troupe, Trifecta Comedy. In 2019, LaRose moved to Chicago and found her arts community. She has performed in numerous professional stage and film productions. She has written comedic and dramatic scripts that have been recognized by Austin Film Festival, Funny or Die, SketchFest, Stage 32, and more. She has even had the opportunity to produce a 5 part docu-series for the city of Chicago. LaRose is excited and honored to be a part of Red Theater’s cohort, and she hopes that her work continues  to reflect the amazing culture around her.
