Red Theater presents the premiere of

KAIROS

by Lisa Sanaye Dring

directed by Clare Brennan

  • Kairos runs 90 minutes with no intermission. Seating is general admission. If you need seating accommodations, our box office staff will be happy to assist.

Concessions and drinks from the bar are welcome in the space; however, please no outside food or drinks.

  • Kairos is a story about running out of time, and about people desperately trying to make more of it. It asks us what we would do to gain a sense of control in the midst of massive and ever-evolving change, and how those choices would impact the people we love the most. With a text as interested in the effects of time on our bodies, identities, and relationships as this one, it felt important to bring audiences along with every step forward. For this production, that means every change in costume, every shifting season, every actor’s breath.

Here in 2025, we know what it feels like to experience a society-shifting bombshell. My hope is that this production is a chance to sit with the fear, trust, grief and vulnerability that have arisen in each of us as a result of these Great Shifts. We cycle through the best we can, and underneath it all is love.

Thank you for choosing to spend this time with us.

    Love,

    Clare
