Wyatt Kent | DIRECTOR — Wyatt (he/him) was a member of the inaugural Red ensemble in Lincoln, Nebraska before stepping into leadership in March of 2020. For Red, he directed the world premiere of Mora V. Harris’ Indoor Cats (Winner of 2 Non-Equity Jeff Award Nominations, including Best New Work), and served as dramaturg for Non-Player Character and producer for the workshop of Isle of Sugar at The Martin. Directing credits include immersive and devised work (The Wild Party, Out of Many, De/Ascending), Shakespeare adaptations (Romeo and Juliet et al., Macbeth, Julius Caesar) and new play development. This summer, he will direct The Mad Ones for Blank Theatre. www.wyattkent.com 

Tessa Huber | STAGE MANAGER — Tessa is a stage manager graduated with a B.A. in Theatre from Indiana University right at the start of the pandemic, Tessa is glad to finally be doing theater again! Past credits include Indoor Cats (ASM, Red Theater), Little Women (ASM, Indiana University), Water by the Spoonful (ASM, Indiana University), and jelly beans (SM, Indiana University). Tessa would like to thank her family for all their love and support over the years. She would also like to thank the folks at Red Theater for giving her this opportunity to work with such a talented group of people. Enjoy the show!

Sean William Kelly | ASSISTANT DIRECTOR — Sean (he/him) is so very grateful to work with this wonderful team. Sean is a proud member of Red Theater's Artistic Cohort and was last seen in their production of Vinegar Tom. As an actor, Sean has worked with Aston Rep (where he was also a company member), First Folio, Red Twist, The New Coordinates, The Shakespeare Project of Chicago, Oak Park Festival Theatre, Spartan Theatre, Chicago Kids Company, Artemisa, Pride Arts, among others. Regional: Cymbeline, Taming of the Shrew (Lakeside Shakespeare), Stop Kiss (Studio Theatre Tierra del Sol). New York: The Last Session (Awakenings Theatre). Film Credits include Green Summer and Knuckleball. Thank you to Wyatt and Clare for the chance to be behind the table and in the room.

 

Junipero “Juni” Cruz | ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGER — Juni (they/them) is a lifelong theater lover and has recently jumped into stage managing. They were born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA and moved to Chicago in the summer of 2021. Juni is an alumni advisor for 33rd Street Productions on IIT Campus, where they were the assistant director for Addams Family: The Musical, (2023) She Kills Monsters, (2023) and The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical (2024). This is their first show with Red Theater! They hope you enjoy all the hard work that everyone has done. As always, they’re forever grateful to their wife, Ru, who always has their back.

Meredith Ernst | TEXT COACH — Mer (she/her) is very grateful to be part of the Hamlet team. It is the joy of her life to be able to help others breathe new life into her favorite texts. As we live more life, we find more depth and meaning in Shakespeare's work, and it is a privilege to help this team tell this story. Thank you to Ian, Wyatt, and Clare for the support, and the entire cast for hitting their verbs.

Andy Cahoon | TECHNICAL DIRECTION + PROPS DESIGN — Andy (he/him) is a professional actor, carpenter, electrician, and technical director. When he is not hanging and focusing lights at Steppenwolf, you’ll most likely see him building a set for a number of storefront theaters. Madeline Felauer | COSTUME DESIGN — Madeline (she/her) is a Chicago based Costume Designer thrilled to be working with Red Theater for the first time. Her recent credits include: Richard III, Romeo and Juliet, Twelfth Night (Chicago Shakespeare Theater), Frog and Toad (Chicago Children's Theater), Wolves (Redtwist Theater), Murder ReWrote and Golden Girls (Hell in a Handbag).

Derryll | LIGHTING DESIGN — Derryll (he/him) is a Chicago-based lighting designer/electrician. Hamlet is his third show with Red Theater, and he is ecstatic to work with such an amazing cast and crew! Some of Derryll’s notable credits include Red Theater’s Vinegar Tom and Indoor Cats (Lighting Designer), Northeastern Illinois University’s Babel (Lighting Designer), and The Academy of Music and Art’s Frozen Jr. (Lighting Designer). Other credits include Big Noise Theatre’s Into the Woods (Associate Lighting Designer), Kokandy Productions’ Cruel Intentions (Electrician), and Mercury Theater Chicago’s Priscilla Queen of the Desert (Electrician).

Sebby Woldt | SOUND DESIGN – Sebby (they/them) is very excited to be working with Red theater again after working on Indoor Cats, Vinegar Tom and Caveman Play. Sebby has designed sound for over one hundred productions in the Chicagoland area since graduating from the Theatre School at DePaul and has been nominated for several Broadway world awards and a Jeff Award for Indoor Cats. Recent credits include: Richard III With Promethean, Lane Call at The Factory Theater, and Viva La Mort with The Conspirators. Sebby is also the resident sound designer of the Bristol Renaissance Faire. You can find their original music and covers under the artist name The Eternal Dreamers.

 

Jamie Macpherson | FIGHT / INTIMACY DESIGN — Jamie (she/her) is a Chicago intimacy/fight director. She has been an invited artist at Macalester College, Augsburg College, the Lawrence Art Center, and the University of Chicago. Previously with Red, she designed the fight and intimacy for Vinegar Tom and Indoor Cats. Recent credits include: Marian: the True Tale of Robin Hood (Stevenson), Macbeth (ASU) and Treasure Island (Mudlark Theater). Her work has been published in Youth Theater Journal, Howlround, and The Fight Master. Jamie holds an MFA in Theatre for Youth from Arizona State University, and is a member of the Society of American Fight Directors. Check out more about her work at jamiemacpherson.com.

Becca Holloway | CASTING DIRECTOR — Becca (she/her) is thrilled to have cast this amazing team! Previous Red Theater credits include casting Caveman Play, Vinegar Tom, and Indoor Cats, producing Non-Player Character, directing the world premiere of Muted. for The F*ck Around Series, and curating the monthly series Readings at Red. She is also a company member at Factory Theater where she is a casting associate. Much love as always to CWW and MM.

Clare Brennan | PRODUCER — Clare (she/her) is a Chicago-based theater maker, who has led Red Theater since July 2019. Directing credits include Caryl Churchill’s Vinegar Tom and the Chicago premiere of Savannah Reich’s Caveman Play for Red Theater; Agnes of God (Jeff Nominated; Redtwist Theatre), Anthony Neilson’s Stitching (BlackLight Theatre; Dublin, Ireland), Home of Love (Wall to Wall Theatre Festival; Ann Arbor, MI), and Othello (The University of Michigan). Past production credits include Indoor Cats (Recipient of 5 Non-Equity Jeff Award Nominations, including Best Production - Play), You Are Happy, and Isle of Sugar for Red Theater, Bicycle Thieves for Littlebrain Theatre and RhinoFest, and many an apartment show. Elsewhere in Chicago, she has worked with Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, TimeLine Theatre, Shattered Globe, Links Hall, The Den, Prop Thtr, Theatre Evolve, and NON:op.
