Red Theater-Chicago is proud to host the second annual city-wide
Access Auditions for Performers who are d/Deaf and/or Disabled
Multiple storefront theaters discover local, non-equity performers- allowing them to make more inclusive choices
in season selection and casting despite their comparably limited resources to equity houses.

We are in search of actors and performers who showcase unique talent, but might not otherwise feel that general auditions are accessible to them. We will have interpreters for d/Deaf and hard-of-hearing participants, as well as large print information packets available.
The audition location is wheelchair accessible and we have our Directors of Accessibility on hand to assist in making this a truly accessible audition opportunity. In addition to the Red Theater Creative Staff, Directors and Casting Directors from multiple Chicago theatres will be represented at the audition.
If you are interested in auditioning, please email us with a headshot/recent picture and resume (if available) along with your preferred audition time to email@example.com.
We will respond back with a specified audition slot and further instructions including a questionnaire on how we can ensure this audition is accessible for all performers. We are dedicated to producing art that is visceral, entertaining, and diverse and are looking forward to seeing you as we expand our next season and the seasons to come. We hope to see you there!
