Ansley Valentine, playwright

a Chicago epic

Brecht's Epic masterpiece “Mother Courage And Her Children” inspired a look into Chicago's possible tomorrow, following the the fortunes of Mother C and those who rely on her wiles to survive the effects of martial law. Expanding on the devastating effects of America’s endless wars (and the blindness of anyone hoping to profit by it), playwright Valentine also focuses on those cut out of Chicago's political machinery.

A New Take on the NEo classic

45 PLAYS FOR 45 PRESIDENTS is a product of the Neo-Futurist imagination, comprised of a short play for every US president. Varying from a full musical number, to a play without words, to a vaudeville comedy, these plays span the emotional spectrum. Our goal is to question our history and motivate our community to engage with their government, this and every election year.
